Home ::  How to Foil an Egg How to Foil an Egg Just follow these easy steps to embellish your egg with our pretty embossed foil Sheets: Our embossed foil sheets (004-123 sold under Embelishments) are approximately 18" x 20" with a pretty scroll design and they come in many rich colors. Simply outline sections on the eggshell with cording (093-2595 works well). Use hair dryer on low setting to help the plastic backing release from the foil. Carefully peel the clear plastic coating off of the foil (some colors don't have it).  Paint a light layer of Sobo or other clear-drying white glue on one section. Carefully lay the foil in the area and press and roll down smoothly with a ball point pen cover. Don't use the pen or metal tip-- just the cover! Press and roll until it is nice and smooth and cut excess foil off with a craft knife or sharp cuticle scissors. Coat entire egg with Mod Podge, if desired.   Enjoy!
